CBD Massage

A massage session using a topical CBD product in place of standard massage oil, available on request during your 60-minute session.

About Service

A CBD massage is a regular massage session that uses a topical CBD product instead of standard oil or lotion. The technique does not change, deep tissue is still deep tissue, and the product is applied to the skin only.

How It Works in a Session

The CBD topical is used as the working medium during the massage, the same way oil or cream would be. It can be applied over the whole area being worked or limited to specific spots. It is a request you make within your regular massage session, not a separate style of massage and not a separate appointment.

What to Expect

Most people notice the topical mainly as a difference in how the product feels and smells. Whether you feel anything beyond that varies quite a bit from person to person. We would rather set that expectation plainly than oversell it.

Choosing Whether to Add It

It is worth asking about if you already use topical CBD products at home and like them, or if you are curious and want to try one during a session rather than buying a jar. If you would rather skip it, every session is available with standard oil at no difference in the work itself.

Who Provides CBD Massage

CBD sessions at Heaps of Relief are provided by Jaylene, a licensed massage therapist trained in deep tissue, therapeutic, and relaxation massage, cupping, CBD massage, and Rapid Tension Release, with continuing education in prenatal massage, kinesiology, and orthopedic pediatric massage.

Booking

There is one massage appointment to book: a 60-minute session with Jaylene. Mention CBD when you book or at the start of the hour, and she will use the topical instead of standard oil.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a CBD massage make me feel high?

No. The product is applied to the skin only and is not an intoxicant.

What product do you use?

Ask when you book and we will tell you exactly what is on the shelf, including the ingredient list.

Is there an extra charge?

Ask at the front desk when you book. Any difference is quoted before your session starts.

Is it safe if I have allergies or sensitive skin?

Let us know before the session. Ingredients can be reviewed and a small patch can be tested first.

Should I check with my doctor first?

If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or managing a health condition, it is a reasonable thing to raise with your physician before adding it.
